Orchestra North 2025 Summer Program
The Orchestra North 2025 Summer Program will be held in Prince George, Aug 1-5, 2025! This fun and inspiring program is for players of symphonic instruments (strings, winds and brass) of all levels and ages for 5 days of orchestra, chamber music, workshops, and performances!

We are excited to offer two specialty programs:
-Starter program for Littles: Pre-beginner strings classes; target age is 4-8 (July 31-Aug 5). Click here for more information.

About Orchestra North
Orchestra North Summer Program is a collaboration between the Prince George Symphony Orchestra, the Prince George Conservatory of Music, and the Orchestra North Summer Program.
We welcome string players of all levels and ages to apply! We also welcome intermediate and advanced wind and brass players to apply. More advanced players are welcome for evening symphony orchestra and additional chamber music; by invitation.
Our program is designed to help participants experience the joy of playing music in ensembles settings while developing skills. We organize ensembles to accommodate players of all ages and levels of playing.

We gratefully acknowledge the generosity of our community that keeps our program as accessible as possible. We make every effort to keep costs to participants very low thanks to generous sponsorships, donors, and partnerships.
2025 orchestra camp fees are set at $280+GST per player.
We wish to make the program available to all who wish to attend. If needed, bursaries can be requested HERE.

Orchestra North Academy 2025
A unique professional development program for advanced and professional musicians. This is a competitive program that involves performance opportunities, running workshops and sectionals, leadership opportunities, as well as free tuition. See below for more information and to apply now!

Concerto Competition
During camp, Academy and regular participants alike will be invited to perform for the chance to perform with the orchestra later in the camp. More information on this to come!

Academy Tour
Member of the Academy and other professionals in the program will be invited to play in our 3 day concert tour to surrounding Northern communities. Past venues have included Smithers, Vanderhoof, Mackenzie, and more.

Professional Development Opportunities
The Academy members arrive a few days before the camp starts, where opportunities to rehearse chamber music and Academy-specific workshops and Masterclasses take place. Throughout the camp, Academy members lead chamber music rehearsals, sectionals, and sometimes even direct ensembles.
